Voice-over Actors are welcome as I work with each person individually. We all learn from watching and listening to each other. This is a 'character-driven' workshop where we explore characters and the boundaries of 'acting
big' within the safe and comfy confines of a workshop - not at an audition!
The workshop is taught from the 'audition p.o.v.'; meaning that we are focusing on 'landing the part' so you can get a top agent/impress your current agent, become a union voice-over actor (and do non-union along the way). The workshop does not guarantee work but it will teach you what you need to know about the creative side of making characters; mic-technique; and audition-etiquette.
Animation Voice-over Acting' is still a fledgling medium. From my fifteen years experience as a 'Voice Coach', I've observed that the 'new bees' are landing the roles now because they have no 'habits'. Having said that, the 'old-timers' feel like a million bucks after taking this workshop because they remember why they became 'actors' in the first place; they develop that 'edge' again.
Whether you're taking this to learn how to create original cartoon characters that you can take to auditions with you, in your 'back pocket', or you're just adding a little sparkle to your existing characters, we will all experience the joy of 'risking' like never before.
